Dampak Pengadaan Alat Pengangkut Sampah melalui Pendanaan Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT. Bank Sumut di Kota Rantau Prapat, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the impact of the procurement of waste transportation vehicles through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding of PT. Bank Sumut in Rantau Prapat, Labuhanbatu Regency. This research was motivated by waste-related problems affecting environmental cleanliness, which require support from various stakeholders, including private companies through CSR funding in the form of waste transportation vehicle procurement. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research informants consisted of a key informant from the Labuhanbatu Environmental Agency, primary informants from community beneficiaries, and an additional informant from PT. Bank Sumut. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, comprising data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the procurement of waste transportation vehicles through PT. Bank Sumut’s CSR funding has positively impacted environmental cleanliness in Rantau Prapat. The positive impacts include faster waste transportation, reduced waste accumulation, improved public health, greater environmental comfort and aesthetics, and increased public awareness of maintaining environmental cleanliness. Nevertheless, several limited negative impacts were identified, including unpleasant odors during waste transportation, occasional waste spillage along transportation routes, and temporary disturbances to residents’ daily activities during the transportation process. Overall, the procurement of waste transportation vehicles funded through PT. Bank Sumut’s CSR program has made a significant contribution to improving environmental cleanliness in Rantau Prapat, Labuhanbatu Regency.
